Run mvn archetype:generate.
Number three, labelled 'simple' (I messed that up in the email) seems like a very strange thing to have pride of place on the list. yes, of course, "simple" isn't quite explicit
This list is automatically generated from central content, without any notion of value/pride nor filter: every archetype is listed If we want something more than this, it's a whole process to define and work to be done to select content. Of course, actual list of 413 archetypes (and counting) isn't really easy to sort out. Perhaps adding groupId to the display could help? Or I found once a little Swing GUI to lauch project generation from archetype, that could be more user-friendly than a cli: writing one or proposing the author to join could provide an alternative? I didn't have time recently to work on archetype to continue to improve codebase, stabilize, document. And for the moment, I tried to not add features until I'm satisfied with actual codebase. If anybody wants to help, welcome: I'll be glad to help understand what I learn while working on the tool Regards, Hervé Le mardi 21 juin 2011, Benson Margulies a écrit : > Run mvn archetype:generate. > > Number three, labelled 'simple' (I messed that up in the email) seems > like a very strange thing to have pride of place on the list. > > On Tue, Jun 21, 2011 at 3:54 PM, Hervé BOUTEMY <[hidden email]> wrote: > > what are you talking about? > > > > Le mardi 21 juin 2011, Benson Margulies a écrit : > >> This archetype, labelled '3', delivers a minimal main with a parent > >> belonging to 'cedarsoft' and GPL notices.
