Dependency with war type

Hi,

 

I don't understand why my dependency is not resolved in Eclipse. I have added a dependency to my project with a war type. When I try mvn clean install, it's ok, but in Eclipse, lot of "class not found". When I look at "Maven Dependencies" in Eclipse, my war is not there :( I have tried Maven/Update conf, Maven/Update dependencies, Maven/Disable dep management, Maven/Enable dep management without success :(

 

Perhaps it is linked to http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-438 but this issue is closed for a long time.

 

My denpendency :

<dependency>
<groupId>com.cob.oa.thirdp</groupId>
<artifactId>oaportaladmin</artifactId>
<version>0.4</version>
<type>war</type>
</dependency>

 

Any idea ?

If you're trying to have a war dependency on a war project, in other words doing a "war overlay", then it's not currently supported by m2eclipse (see   https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-599)
Jer developped a plugin to implement this feature, you can give it a try : http://code.google.com/p/m2eclipse-wtp-ext/

My goal is not to do an "overlay", but just have access from my prject to classes which are in the war.

Are you using the warpath plugin (make war artifact classes available in other's java projects' classpath)? This is not supported either.

Are you using the warpath plugin (make war artifact classes available in other's java projects' classpath)? This is not supported either.

Did you solve your problem ? I'm trying to use classes included in a war dependency as well. Had no luck with simple overlay ro with warpath plugin...
